The last term of law school was insanely hectic, but it’s all done now, and I have the next year (minus the time I need to spend preparing for and then writing the licensing exams) to focus on my writing. I began that year with a trip to the UK to research and visit a variety of sites that I use or have used in my historical fiction series. Dad came along to act as driver, guide, reader, and photographer.
We touched down at London’s Heathrow Airport on Wednesday, May 15, and, after picking up our rental (a brand new, white VW Polo), drove the 3 hours south to Somerset, where we’ll be staying with my Dad’s sister and her husband for the next couple of days.
